Faith in a World of Logic: Finding Trust Beyond Reason
Share
In a world where logic reigns supreme, the idea of faith often gets overshadowed. Modern society, with its advances in science and technology, conditions us to reason, analyze, and question everything. Even the existence of God, a power higher than ourselves, often falls under the scrutiny of our logical minds. Yet, amidst this pursuit of reason, we forget one profound truth: humans operate on trust, an inherent belief that transcends logic.
Think about it—every aspect of our lives is built on trust. We put our heart and soul into our work, not knowing what tomorrow will bring, yet we believe we’ll wake up to see the results of our efforts. Parents invest years nurturing their children, creating opportunities for them with the faith that they will grow into kind, successful individuals. We make plans, dream of futures, and take leaps of faith in relationships, careers, and aspirations. What drives us to do this if not an unwavering belief in outcomes we cannot guarantee?
This very belief, this trust in the unseen, is faith. Faith doesn’t need to defy logic; it coexists with it. Faith is the foundation that fills the gaps where reason falters. It reminds us that life’s greatest mysteries and blessings often come from surrendering control and trusting the journey.
Yet, why do we struggle to extend this faith to the divine? If we can trust that the sun will rise tomorrow, that our children will grow with love and care, why do we hesitate to believe in a higher power? Perhaps it’s time to reconsider. Har Har Mahadev
